World Book Day in P1 🌍📚📖

9th Mar 2024

Primary 1 loved dressing in their cosy pyjamas to enjoy World Book Day on Thursday. We loved taking our books outside at playtime. And thank you to the lovely boys and girls from P7 who read our favourite stories to us.

Primary 1 also listened to 10 year old Frasier Cox’s book called ‘There’s a Boy Just Like Me’. It is about a child who is a refugee who he would like to be friends with. We talked about how there are children all over the world, some of whom aren’t as lucky as we are, who probably have lots of things in common with us. We might even be friends with them if we ever got the chance to meet them! We worked together in our groups to decide which qualities we thought were important in a friend e.g. someone who listens, shares, takes turns, is kind, etc. 🌍📚📖
