Wintry Fun in P1

16th Jan 2020

In Literacy this week we have been exploring wintry words. We clapped and tapped out the syllables before having a go writing the words and drawing the pictures to match. In Maths we counted the wintry objects and matched them to the numbered pegs. To develop our fine motor skills we used tweezers to collect the snowy pom poms and put them into the tens frames and threaded beads onto pipe cleaners to make snowflakes. We also explored positional language this week. We lined the compare bears in rows and talked about which colour bear was beside, next to, in between the other bears. We then lined the bears in a line as if they were running a race and talked about which bear was first, second, third, last, before and after the other bears. We hope you like our photos.
