Stuart Reid, the author, visits Primary 4 and Primary 6!

4th Oct 2023

The Primary 4 and Primary 6 children were very lucky to meet the Scottish Author Stuart Reid. From the introduction Stuart had the children captivated with his funny sense of humour. We had children volunteering to act as monkeys, elephants and even superheroes in coloured wigs! The children found out about Stuart and how and why he became an author. He encouraged them to write and record your dreams as they can make great stories. He explained alliteration “cheeky chimps chomp chocolate”. He taught them a song to the tune of Old Mac Donald that would help them spell the word ‘onomatopoeia’. At one stage he encouraged the teachers to stick their fingers in their ears to tell the children something, to the children’s delight. It really was great entertainment for all who attended and the children cannot wait to read his books. Thank you so much Stuart for encouraging the children to be your best as what ever you choose and to engage them in a greater interest and love for reading. 📚📖🦣🦧🦧🙈🙉🙊🤣🤣🤣
