Shared Education Primary 4

12th Nov 2021

What a great morning we had today with Ms Bartlett and Miss McFeely's Primary 4 classes from Oakgrove Primary School. Our focus for Shared Education this term is on 'talking and listening' and on 'problem solving'. We began our session with a very fun game of "Would you rather?" and we had to use our paddles to answer Ms Bartlett. Would you rather A Sit in a bath of jelly? or B sit in a bath of baked beans?

Some of the children volunteered to talk to the other classes. We were then set a task in our teams. Using only 10 balloons and only 2 meters of masking tape we had to build a tower. We could not have any extra tape or extra balloons.

We discovered that problem solving is not always easy but we certainly did have a lot of fun trying. After a number of popped balloons and fallen towers we presented our work to the other classes. We all had very similar problems and most of us felt that we would try a different strategy if we had the chance to do it again.

We are already looking forward to next weeks meeting. It is great to get working with our friends from other schools again.

A special thank you to Mrs White and Paul too for helping to blow up over 50 balloons for us.

Enjoy looking at the pictures.
