Safeguarding Reminder for Parents/Carers
We would like to remind all parents and carers about the importance of regularly monitoring children’s use of mobile phones, social media apps, and online messaging platforms.
Many apps allow children to share images, videos, and personal information quickly and sometimes without understanding the potential risks. Even when messages or images appear to be shared privately, they can be saved, forwarded, or viewed by others.
Please take time to:
- Check which apps your child is using and ensure they are age‑appropriate.
- Talk to your child about the importance of not sharing photos, videos, or personal information online.
- Remind them to speak to a trusted adult if they see anything that worries or upsets them.
- Review privacy settings on devices and apps to limit who can contact them.
- Encourage your child to think carefully before posting or sending anything online.
Keeping children safe online is a shared responsibility, and your support helps us reinforce positive digital habits.
