P7 Pupils' Stories Shine in the BBC 500 Words Competition
Well done to everyone in Primary 7 who submitted their stories to the BBC 500 Words competition this year. The imagination, effort and creativity was very impressive. Every entry was a brilliant effort and you should all be incredibly proud of your stories! We are especially thrilled to announce that four stories have progressed even further in the competition, placing them in the top 5,000 applicants in the UK! This is a phenomenal achievement in a highly competitive competition with over hundreds of thousands applying.
Please join us in celebrating Jayden Mc, Faith, Moya and Jasmine for their exceptional work:
- "THE LAST RIDE The fight to save our cars" by Jayden Mc
- "My Little Sister" by Faith T
- "Granny's Ring" by Moya B
- "THE ALIEN OLYMPICS AT OAKWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL" by Jasmine A
What Happens Next?
The next step for these stories is the second round of judging, with the goal of reaching the top 50 national finalists who will be invited to the Grand Final at Windsor Castle in February 2026. Well done to everyone involved! We are so proud of the talent within Chapel Road Primary School.
