P6 Visit Brook Hall for NI Science Festival 2026

Exploring Carbon in the Atmosphere 

P6 went on a trip to Brook Hall Estate and Gardens, Culmore, today to discover the natural carbon cycle in the world around us.

They explored how we measure the carbon in our trees and soils, how we manage our carbon, and how we can remove carbon from the atmosphere to sequester it into the landscape.

They also learned how we use the natural carbon cycle to create renewable biomass energy from our willow farm to provide heat to our local community.
