Let’s Get Growing in P1

13th Mar 2020

At the end of our story about Jack Frost, Jack discovers a snowdrop which means it’s the end of winter and the start of spring. We were very excited when we discovered snowdrops in our classroom and knew it was time to say goodbye to Jack Frost ❄️. Even though it’s still a bit chilly, we’ve enjoyed playing outside in the spring sunshine!

We explored a planning carousel based around our new topic ‘Let’s Get Growing’. We talked about how we grow, how plants grow and how animals grow and can’t wait to find out more!

To start our new topic, our classroom and playroom have been transformed into a garden centre and secret garden🌳🌸🍄🌿. (We think it was the garden fairies that did all the hard work!) We even planted our own sunflower seeds and can’t wait to watch them grow! 🌻🌦
