Let’s Get Growing in P1 πŸͺ΄πŸ›πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ

27th Apr 2024

This week we’ve continued to explore how we grow in P1. We’ve been measuring ourselves using the measuring tapes as well as drawing around ourselves in chalk and measuring how many blocks tall we are. We then got ourselves into order by height. We discovered that the tallest in the class wasn’t the oldest, and the youngest wasn’t the shortest! So although we grow taller as we get older, everyone is different! 🧱

In Maths we’ve also been exploring capacity. We filled the different containers with water until they were full, half full, nearly full, nearly empty, etc. We then explored which containers held more water and which held less. We also explored the capacity of different containers using cubes and compare bears. πŸ’§πŸ›

P1 have also been making the most of the sunny weather this week, enjoying the bikes, chalk and toys outside in the sun. β˜€οΈπŸ˜Š
