BACK TO SCHOOL 2025-DATE AND TIMES

Pupils return to school on Friday 29th August 2025.

Primary 1 children will attend from 9.00am until 11.30am. A morning snack will be provided.

Please refer back to the P1 booklet given out at the Induction meeting to see further settling in times.

Miss Blee and Miss Mc Devitt will be in touch with their parents in relation to start days and times. 

Primary 2-Primary 7 children will attend from 9.00am until 12 noon. There is no canteen service so the children will need a lunch when they get home. Please send a morning snack and bottle of water with your child.

The children can arrive in school from 8.30am on Friday 29th August 2025.

P1, P2 and P3 will go to their classrooms where an adult will supervise. P4-P7 will be supervised in the assembly hall until 9.00am.

MORNING ARRANGEMENTS-TIME CHANGE

Dear parents

I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful weather today and is looking forward to school in the morning.

Following a review of the morning drop off last week, we have changed the time from 8.45am to 8.30am.

Children can be dropped off between 8.30am and 9.00am or as long as it takes thereafter. Any child arriving after 9.10am will need to enter through the front office area.

The same system of ‘drop off and go’ is essential to manage traffic congestion. Please also consider the walking alternatives if possible.

 PICK UP/COLLECTION AT HOMETIME

Please email the class teacher or the school info account as soon as possible with details on how your child will be collected from school. This information will help us greatly as we may need to change timings or walk the children to a pick up point.

We need to know the following:

Is your child walking home via The Avenue/Shepherd’s Glen gate? (3pm)

Or

Is your child being collected by car and at what time? (can be collected from 2.40pm-3.00pm)

Due to the ‘protective bubbles’ system children cannot be facilitated in the hall or reception area after 3.00pm so prompt collection is important.

If you are collecting a child in P1 or P2 at 2.00pm, you can make arrangements to collect siblings in P3-P7 at this time too. This may help to make it more manageable for you over the next few weeks. In keeping with curriculum guidance, we are completing all core learning in the mornings with an attention on physical and mental well-being in the afternoons.
