Humpty Dumpty in P1 π₯π³
As part of our A Time To Rhyme topic, P1 explored Humpty Dumpty. We sang the rhyme using different instruments to accompany us. We got a very exciting letter from Humpty asking us to paint a portrait of him. The boys and girls painted fantastic portraits and Humpty wrote another letter to thank us! We explored building our own walls for Humpty using different materials including Lego, foam blocks and wooden blocks. We made up different versions of the rhyme, thinking what might happen if Humpty sat on a chair (he might grow some hair, eat a pear or meet a bear!) or sat on a mat (he might wear a hat, pet a cat or get frightened by a bat!). We also did an experiment to discover what would happen to the different eggs as they fell from the wall. The rubber egg bounced, the boiled egg broke and the uncooked egg went splat! We had lots of fun! π³π₯πͺΊπ§±
