Humpty Dumpty 🥚🍳🧱

16th Nov 2020

Humpty Dumpty and his eggy friends came to visit us this week. We built a Lego wall for them to sit on, but they all fell off! One egg bounced, one egg landed softly and one cracked (it was boiled). Another egg smashed to a million pieces (it was a raw egg), oh dear! I don’t think anyone will be able to put it back together again.

We had a laugh making up alternative rhymes for Humpty. ‘Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, Humpty Dumpty played football!’ ⚽️ We wondered what might happen if he sat on a chair 🪑, maybe he ate a pear 🍐, or grew some hair! If he sat on a mat, he might see a bat 🦇, a rat 🐀 or a cat 🐈.

We had lots of fun making our own Humptys with springy arms and legs. We also did jigsaws of our Nursery Rhymes and played with water pipes and spiders in the water tray. 🧩🕷🕸
