What a special day we celebrated on Friday. The children in Primary 4 made their First Holy Communion. We could not be prouder of how the children behaved so reverently in the Chapel. We have been preparing for this special day for many weeks now. The children worked so hard and it was very clear to see. Thank you for your effort and commitment.
Special thanks also go to our lovely Miss Quinn who got all our words ready and helped with the displays and getting the Chapel set up. Thank you also to our other assistants Miss Riju and Miss Mc Cool for also helping with preparation in the lead up.
The fantastic school choir sang beautifully with Mr Morrison back playing for us. We love getting to sing with Mr Morrison! Thank you to Miss Bonella who also helped with organising our choir. Mrs Mc Callion did a great job capturing the special moments as you will see. Mr Mc Callion also helped us, lifting display boards and props to the chapel.
Fr Canny made the service very special and made the children feel very at ease. We are grateful for his guidance. Thanks also to Mrs Barrett for opening the service with a welcome message. I’d also like to thank Naomi, Mia’s brave mum for going to the alter to read the parents blessing.
Finally a big thank you to the parents for encouraging and preparing the children at home, making the service run so smoothly.
