Fairytale Houses and Fairytale Trails…👑🏰👑

Primary 1 have been exploring Fairytale houses this week, including castles, palaces, cottages, towers and gingerbread cottages. We designed posters for ‘Fairytale Houses for Sale’. We chose a house to draw and wrote a description. We also built houses for the different characters.

We then read Hansel and Gretel and talked about the different trails in the story. We then received a letter from Goldilocks saying she wanted to say sorry to the Three Bears but couldn’t find her way back to their cottage in the woods. She wanted our help drawing a map and told us about some of the things she had seen on the way, such as trees, a river, a bridge, a tower and a beanstalk. We then drew maps for Goldilocks in groups on large paper. 🌲🌲🏰🧸🐻🐻

We also explored trails using the Beebots, programming them to move around the Fairytale maps. We even made our own trails using the stones and gems to make paths between the Fairytale houses.
