Exploring Weight in P1 ⚖️

30th Jan 2022

In Maths this week, we explored the weight of different objects using the balance scales. First as a class we sorted objects that were ‘heavy’ and ‘light’. We have a lot of strong boys and girls in our class though, and nearly everything was light! We then used the balance scales to compare the weight of 2 objects, saying which was ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’, and labelling them. We also compared the weight of objects that were wrapped up so we couldn’t guess. We held each in our hands first to predict, then used the scales to see if we were right. We also tried to find 2 objects around the classroom that were about the same weight, this was tricky! Well done boys and girls, great work! ⚖️
