Eco-Club Assembly 11/11/2019

11th Nov 2019

We had a fantastic assembly in the School Hall delivered by Chapel Road's own Eco-Club. The Eco-Club talked about the ways they have been trying to make our school a more eco-friendly place to be. The boys and girls told us how they had a visit from the Northern Ireland Water Board last week. The ladies kindly gifted us with free refillable bottles for the WHOLE school. The boys and girls explained the three benefits of using these bottles; 1. We are saving money! 2. We are keeping healthy! (by staying hydrated) and 3. We are looking after our environment! We also learned that it takes 450 years for a plastic bottle to decompose. There is so much waste that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea!

In addition to our water bottles, each class was presented with an Eco poster to display in our class.

Thank you very much to Mrs Kyle and Miss Mulheron as well as our fantastic Eco-Club for your fantastic hard work!
