Could I ask all Primary 2 parents to please send in a small wallet/purse/money bag with your child containing some 1p, 2p and 5p coins. We are currently learning about money and in particular looking at making different amounts within 10p. In order to make this fun and expose the children to 'real coins' we are running a biscuit shop in Primary 2 for a limited number of weeks. It will take place after break time when children have had their milk/water and fruit already. They can only purchase one biscuit a day and have to pay for their biscuit using their 'real money'.
