A Time to Rhyme in P1

6th Nov 2021

Primary 1 met lots of Nursery Rhyme characters this week as part of our new topic A Time to Rhyme. We made our own mice like Hickory Dickory and used the musical instruments to accompany our rhymes. We even made up our own versions of Hickory Dickory Dock. What might happen when the clock strikes 2? ‘The mouse went to the zoo.’ Strikes 3? ‘The mouse made a cup of tea.’ Or what if different animals climbed up the clock instead of the mouse? ‘Hickory Dickory Dock, a bee buzzed around the clock, the clock struck 5, the bee buzzed back to its hive, Hickory Dickory Dock, tick tick, tick tock…’ 🐭🐁🐝⏰🕰
