A Blast From Chapel Road’s Past

This week we had a visit from four former pupils who hadn’t been through the doors in 53 years. Des Leitch, Kenny McAdams, Cathal Brennan and companion reminisced about their experiences, good and bad while having a good look around.We actually learned that the school grounds were used to anchor barrage balloons during WW11 and that the school had strong links to the American service personnel stationed in Derry.
