Attention Primary 4 Parents-First Communion News

17th May 2023

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The excitement is building for our big day on Saturday. The children have been busy familiarising themselves with the prayers and arrangements. The most important thing is that they will all have the best day and make long-lasting memories.

I wanted to send you the details so that you are up to date with the arrangements too. Please see below the information you will need:

· Day and time-Saturday 20th May 2023 @ 11.30am

· All children must be seated by 11.20am at the latest.

· Please ensure your child goes to the toilet before he/she leaves the house so that they do not have this to worry about when they arrive at the chapel.

· When the children arrive, they will sit at the back of the Chapel before mass starts.

· Front row seats will be reserved for the P4 children. The side seats will be reserved for the choir.

· If your child has a bag, prayer book, gloves or beads etc, you will need to hold onto these until the end of mass.

· When mass is over the children will proceed out by the back of the chapel where Mrs Mc Callion will organise a class group photo on the steps. This will mean a slight delay in the congregation getting out unless you use the side exit. We will put this photo up on our website for you to access. This photo will be weather permitting so hopefully the sun will shine!

· MARY’S DAY-Our annual Mary’s Day celebration will be on Monday 22nd May at 9.30am in the assembly hall followed by a Coffee Morning at 10.10am. Primary 4 children should come to school in their First Communion outfits on Monday 22nd May 2023.

Enjoy the last few days of preparations and we will see you all on Saturday.

Kindest regards,

Mrs M. Bacheta
